Christmas is coming!

we’ve got your back.

Christmas is coming and we couldn’t be more chuffed. This year we are celebrating lots of things: an awesome year of results, amazing clients who we love working with, and time together with family and friends.

But if Christmas has snuck up on you, we are here to help. Every year we share our top five social media content ideas to help you make the most of the festive season. Let the good times roll!

1. Christmas Packs

At this time of year people are actively looking for gift ideas so simplify things and increase your likelihood of purchases by creating beautifully presented Christmas packages. Our client Springfield Jewellers is busy curating Christmas gifting ideas which will be central to their social content and paid ads.

2. Christmas Content

Did someone say sparkles?! Yes, it's time to get all #Festive. Tinsel up your office. Sparkle up your products. Put some reindeer ears on the office dog! Whatever you do, just make sure you don't stop at just one bauble. Have some fun with it. After all, it's the season to be jolly!

3. Christmas Incentives

With so many people looking online to buy, make sure you're doing everything you can to get them over the line. One great way of doing this is to incentivise the purchase. Whether that's free shipping or some kind of giveaway for every purchase over a certain value, don't lose those people who come to you just because they can get a better deal from one of your competitors.

Our client Bubnest is giving away reindeer ears and ‘My First Christmas’ Timber plaques upon purchase of a baby nest. Other clients are doing beautiful things like free Christmas gift wrapping.

DON’T FORGET: Buy Now Pay Later is your BFF. At this time of year especially, people are looking for ways to delay the pain. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE THIS KNOWN!

4. Christmas Competitions

Competitions may not be a way of increasing sales, but they're an ideal way to boost results in other areas. Currently we’re running seasonal competitions for a few of our clients to help boost database growth, which are being received extremely well. Don’t forget to consider partners, this is a great way to cross promote and gain new followers!

5. Christmas Countdown

It's not too late to start a Christmas Countdown! Start NOW and have some fun with it. We love Sephora's 12 Days of Gifting. What a fun way to help customers find the perfect present for their family and friends!

6. Social Media Advertising

You simply cannot (canNOT) expect to sell more this Christmas without using social media advertising. With so many brands competing for your buyer's attention, you'll be lost in the noise if you don't invest budget in this area of your social media strategy. We recommend planning a range of different ad types for your campaign. Use video if possible, and don't forget to run regular reports to see which ads are performing best. To save money, change the underperformers, or switch them off. Aim to make every dollar count!

Summary

Christmas doesn't need to be complicated. In fact, some of the best ideas are often the simplest ones. Really start to think about what your audience is looking for at this time of year, and you're well on your way to coming up with something that will get the cash registers ringing.

Once the silly season is over, you can kick back with a huge glass of wine and give yourself a pat on the back (and maybe buy yourself a little gift).

The clock is ticking but it's not too late to get involved. Chat to us today if you want to make a start with your Christmas campaign!
